12 Oct 2026

HaysMac has appointed Hanish Arora as Head of CASS within its Risk Assurance and Advisory Services (RAAS) team, effective 12 October 2026.

Hanish joins the firm following more than two decades advising financial services organisations on regulatory compliance, governance, risk and operational resilience, most recently serving as Head of Client Assets Consulting at KPMG.

Hanish’s appointment is the latest in a series of senior hires within HaysMac’s Risk Assurance and Advisory Services team, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in strengthening its advisory capabilities. HaysMac is continuing to build the depth and breadth of expertise needed to help clients navigate complexity, manage change and achieve their ambitions.

Joining HaysMac to lead and grow the firm’s CASS offering within the Risk Advisory team, Hanish brings extensive experience advising banks, wealth managers, asset managers, trading platforms and fintech businesses on client asset protection, safeguarding frameworks, FCA reviews, remediation programmes and operating model transformation. Throughout his career, he has advised firms through complex regulatory change, remediation and operating model transformation, combining strong governance and control with practical considerations around how businesses can best operate and grow.

Working closely with clients across the financial services sector, Hanish will advise on governance, risk and regulatory matters, while supporting the continued development of HaysMac’s Risk Advisory offering and broader ambition to help businesses manage risk, build resilience and seize opportunity.

Commenting on his appointment, Hanish said: “I’m delighted to be joining HaysMac at such an exciting stage in the firm’s growth. Financial Services organisations are balancing rapid innovation with heightened expectations around governance, risk management and consumer protection.

HaysMac’s combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to building long-term client relationships made it a compelling next step for me. I look forward to working with clients to navigate change, strengthen confidence in their operating models and create resilient businesses that are well positioned for long-term success.”

Per-Olof Ahlstrom, Head of Risk Assurance and Advisory Services, said: “Hanish is one of the most respected advisors in the CASS and regulatory compliance market. His experience helping firms address complex governance, regulatory and operational challenges will be invaluable to our clients.
