HaysMac strengthens Social Purpose team with Director appointment

HaysMac has appointed Nicky Whitehead as Director in its Social Purpose team, further strengthening its market-leading offering to not-for-profit organisations.

Nicky joins with extensive experience advising charities, membership bodies and arts and culture organisations, bringing deep expertise across audit, financial reporting, governance, risk and systems. He specialises in delivering high-quality, robust audits for social purpose organisations, and has worked with a range of large national and international charities, alongside several well-known organisations across the sector.

Prior to joining HaysMac in 2026, Nicky was a Director at Crowe UK. He trained and qualified at PwC, building strong technical foundations which underpin his client approach today.

Alongside his professional work, Nicky is an active contributor to the sector. He is currently a trustee of the Born Free Foundation and previously served as a trustee of the Jane Goodall Institute UK. His passion for conservation and the natural world reflects a genuine commitment to making a positive impact beyond client work.

This announcement follows an exceptional 12 months for HaysMac. In January 2026, HaysMac celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter century of delivering exceptional service, fostering talent, and making a lasting impact across the business and social purpose community. This milestone year also saw the strategic acquisition of corporate finance firm Green Square, further strengthening HaysMac’s deal advisory capabilities. Alongside this, the firm acquired Moore DM’s US Tax team, enhancing its international tax compliance offering and Private Client Tax expertise to provide seamless cross-border support.
