HaysMac is delighted to announce that our Property sector has received two nominations at the 2026 Commercial Property Awards, including ‘Professional Services Team of the Year’ and Jake Pearlman, Partner and Head of Property, shortlisted as ‘Next Generation Leader of the Year’.
The dual nominations reflect HaysMac’s ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and leadership – both at a firmwide level and through the individuals driving its success.
Our Property team delivers best‑in‑class audit, tax, accountancy and advisory services to ambitious real estate businesses, but our true differentiation lies in how we operate: combining technical rigour with clarity, purpose and a distinctly human approach
We pride ourselves on being a serious challenger to the traditional ‘big firm’ model, with more than 90 dedicated property specialists, offering depth of expertise alongside genuinely partner‑led, personal relationships. In a challenging market, we continue to grow strongly, earning the trust of some of the UK’s most significant real estate clients.
We’re not trying to look like the market – we are actively reshaping it. Technically strong and culturally progressive, the Property team is notably 80% female at Director level, with a gender pay gap that has shifted from 5.9% in 2021 to -1.2% in 2025. This progress is measurable, not symbolic.
Alongside the team nomination, Jake Pearlman’s shortlisting for ‘Next Generation Leader of the Year’ recognises his impact as one of the firm’s most dynamic leaders and his contribution to the wider professional community.
Since joining HaysMac as a trainee in 2013, Jake has progressed rapidly through the firm, driven by exceptional performance, a strong commitment to client service and a forward‑thinking leadership style. His career culminated in his appointment as Partner and Head of the Property sector in 2023, making him one of the youngest sector leads in the firm’s history.
In November 2022, Jake launched HaysMac’s Property Breakfast Club, creating a distinctive platform for relationship-building, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the sector. Designed as an informal and inclusive forum, the initiative has grown from an initial group of 20 attendees to a thriving community of more than 100 regular participants. Now widely regarded as a calendar highlight, the Breakfast Club reinforces HaysMac’s position as a trusted convenor and thought leader within the property ecosystem.
Commenting on the awards, Jake said “Being shortlisted for ‘Professional Services Team of the Year’ is a fantastic recognition of the strength, depth and collaborative spirit of all of our Property team at HaysMac. I’m equally honoured to be named a finalist for ‘Next Generation Leader of the Year – this reflects not just my own journey, but the support, ambition and shared commitment to excellence that runs throughout the firm.”
