HaysMac, the award-winning accountancy, tax and advisory firm, has promoted Jack Williams to Director, strengthening its R&D tax and advisory capabilities.
Jack specialises in R&D tax relief, advising high-growth businesses on how to maximise the value of their investment in innovation. He works closely with clients across sectors including Creative, Media and Technology, FinTech and Life Sciences, supporting founders, finance teams and investors to identify qualifying activity, secure meaningful returns on their R&D spend and ensure claims stand up to scrutiny from both HMRC and investors during transactions.
Working at the intersection of tax technical and commercial strategy, Jack helps businesses translate complex rules into practical outcomes, ensuring claims are robust, defensible and aligned to HMRC expectations, while also delivering tangible financial benefit. He supports clients at every stage, from early-stage scale-ups to established, private equity-backed businesses, acting as a trusted advisor as they scale and evolve.
His promotion recognises both his individual contribution and the firm’s continued investment in strengthening its advisory expertise in response to increasing demand from innovative businesses.
Jack said: “I’m incredibly proud to step into this role at HaysMac. Since joining the firm last year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of innovative, fast-growth businesses, helping them obtain the well-deserved return on their R&D investment and translate that into something meaningful, whether that’s fuelling further innovation, supporting growth or obtaining their next round of funding. I’m excited to continue working closely with our clients as they evolve and to contribute further to the development of our R&D and tax advisory offerings.”
Natasha Frangos, Managing Partner at HaysMac, added: “Jack’s promotion reflects our continued focus on developing our people and investing in areas where clients need the most support, whilst recognising Jack’s transformative impact on our R&D team and client offering. As businesses look to maximise returns on innovation while navigating increased scrutiny, high-quality, commercially focused advice is more important than ever. Jack’s expertise and client-led approach make him exceptionally well placed to support this, and his promotion underscores our commitment to delivering consistently strong outcomes for our clients.”
