3 Nov 2025

HaysMac, the award-winning firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors, is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Mason as Partner.

Stephen will join HaysMac’s Transaction Services team to lead the Private Market Transactions and Due Diligence practice.

Stephen joins HaysMac from RSM, where he spent 17 years in their Transaction Services team advising private equity and venture-capital investors, banks and corporates across sectors such as hospitality, retail, media and technology. He brings an outstanding track record in financial due diligence, transaction support and deal-advisory, having led multiple complex transactions both across the UK and internationally.

In his new role, Stephen will develop and grow HaysMac’s private market transactions strategy, supporting investors and businesses through every stage of the deal cycle, from initial assessment to post-transaction integration. His appointment reinforces HaysMac’s commitment to investing in top-tier talent and delivering market-leading, high-impact advice grounded in deep market expertise.

Commenting on his appointment to Partner at HaysMac, Stephen said, “I’m delighted to be joining HaysMac to further bolster its Transactions team. The firm’s entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative culture and strong client relationships make it an exciting place to be. I look forward to working with the team to further enhance our due diligence offering to private equity investors and ambitious businesses.”

Natasha Frangos, Managing Partner at HaysMac, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome Stephen as Partner. His extensive experience in transactions and his deep understanding of the private equity landscape make him a tremendous addition to our leadership team. Stephen’s appointment will strengthen our ability to support clients navigating increasingly complex deals and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in exceptional talent.”

This announcement comes off the back of a remarkable 12 months at HaysMac. In addition to the firm’s major re-brand, HaysMac has recently been named one of The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2025 – Big Organisation’ for the second consecutive year, and highly commended in the ‘Best Places to Work for Women’ category. This accolade follows eprivateclient’s ‘Top Accountancy Firms’ for 2025 – an annual listing of the best UK tax advisory firms providing advice to domestic and international private clients, their businesses and their families.
