We are pleased to announce the continued investment and growth in our Technology sector, marked by the appointment of Dom Noakes as Head of Technology.
Technology is one of the firm’s largest sectors and most dynamic markets, including owner-managed start ups and scale ups, private equity backed mid-market firms and large publicly listed companies.
Dom joined HaysMac’s Business Support team in 2016 as an Assistant Manager, before progressing through the ranks to his current role of Director, where he brings extensive experience working with start up, scaling and established small companies across a range of areas including management accounts, cloud advisory and cash flow reporting.
In particular, Dom has played a pivotal role in supporting and scaling our early stage, fast growth technology clients, guiding them through their journey to exit and beyond, strengthened by his close collaboration with our Transaction Advisory team. His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by fast growth businesses has enabled us to deliver exceptional value at every stage of their lifecycle. This expertise not only cements our position as leading advisors within the technology sector but also creates a natural bridge to our work with listed companies. Our strength and dominance further recognised with HaysMac recently announced in 1st place by total number of technology audit clients listed on AIM, according to data from the 2025 Corporate Advisers Rankings Guide.
Dom has also been key in driving forward the firm’s use of cloud based technology to best service clients and has been crucial in maintaining and developing relationships with key service providers such as Xero, where HaysMac has recently been shortlisted as a finalist for Xero’s ‘2025 Large firm of the year’.
Outside of his day-to-day, Dom has also been pivotal in supporting the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, being a voice and champion for change across the firm.
Commenting on his appointment, Dom Noakes, Director and Head of Technology sector at HaysMac, said: “I am extremely excited and proud to be stepping into the role of Head of Technology. Our technology client base encompasses some of the UK’s most innovative businesses, fastest growing companies, as well as household established industry names. The Technology team at HaysMac is extremely talented and I am excited to build on this momentum to deliver even greater value to the clients we support now, and in the future.”
Commenting on the news, Jon Dawson, Partner and Head of Sectors & Markets at HaysMac, adds: “Dom’s work has been key in driving forward the growth of one of the firm’s most established sectors, bringing fantastic technology industry knowledge to the firm’s clients across all stages of the lifecycle. The appointment of Dom reflects our continued investment in our expanding service lines and I am excited to see what Dom will do to further develop this exciting space”.
The promotion of Dom epitomises what have been an incredibly exciting past 12 months at HaysMac. In addition to the firm’s major re-brand, HaysMac has recently been named one of The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2025 – Big Organisation’ for the second consecutive year, and highly commended in the ‘Best Places to Work for Women’ category. This accolade follows eprivateclient’s ‘Top Accountancy Firms’ for 2024 – an annual listing of the best UK tax advisory firms providing advice to domestic and international private clients, their businesses and their families.
