19 Feb 2026

Award-winning chartered accountants and tax advisors, HaysMac, has announced the acquisition of a specialist US tax team from Moore DM, effective 16 February 2026. This represents a significant milestone in HaysMac’s international growth strategy and the ongoing expansion of its Private Wealth services.

A team from Moore DM has joined HaysMac, including Chris Baker, as Director. The team brings extensive expertise in US tax compliance, supporting US individuals and high-net-worth clients residing in the UK with their US tax obligations.

With this acquisition, HaysMac can now offer US tax return services directly from its London office, extending the firm’s capabilities beyond the UK. This development forms a key part of HaysMac’s long-term vision to grow internationally, while deepening its presence in the Private Wealth market and broadening the services it offers to clients

The new service line is designed to support high-net-worth individuals with substantial wealth, assets, or business interests in the US who reside in the UK. With a dedicated team focusing exclusively on US tax services, clients will receive personalised, expert guidance every step of the way.

Chris Baker, Director, commented: “Joining HaysMac presents an exciting opportunity to build a specialist US tax service within a firm renowned for its private wealth expertise. Demand is growing among US and internationally connected individuals living in the UK who need trusted, UK-based support for their US tax obligations. I look forward to becoming part of the HaysMac team to develop this service and explore additional ways we can meet client needs.”

Graeme Privett, Head of Private Client, said: “Welcoming Chris and the team enhances our ability to support new and existing clients, reinforcing HaysMac’s position as a trusted partner for international private wealth clients with US tax requirements. Having previously worked with Chris earlier in our careers, I’m delighted to be collaborating again as we continue to develop our US tax offering and support the global ambitions of our private clients.”

Natasha Frangos, Managing Partner at HaysMac, added: “This acquisition represents a pivotal step in HaysMac’s evolution. As our client base becomes increasingly international, building a dedicated US tax capability allows us to serve them seamlessly across borders. We are delighted to welcome Chris and his team, strengthening our position as a full-suite advisory firm equipped to meet the complex needs of our clients. Under the experienced leadership of Graeme Privett, I am excited to see the positive impact this transaction will have on the growth of our firm and the expertise we offer our clients ”

This announcement follows an exceptional 12 months for HaysMac. Most recently, the firm was named ‘DEI Champion of the Year’ at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards, recognised for the second consecutive year as one of The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2025 – Big Organisation’, and highly commended in the ‘Best Places to Work for Women’ category. These achievements build upon HaysMac’s inclusion in eprivateclient’s ‘Top Accountancy Firms’ for 2025, the annual ranking of leading UK tax advisory firms serving domestic and international private clients, their businesses, and their families.

In January 2026, HaysMac celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of delivering exceptional service, fostering talent, and making a positive impact in Social Purpose and wider business community.
