HaysMac, the award-winning chartered accountancy and tax advisory firm, is pleased to announce the return of Andrew Roberts as Audit Director in its Social Purpose sector group.
Following a period as Associate Director at a Top 10 firm, Andrew’s return will further bolster HaysMac’s audit offering to the Social Purpose sector and support the firm’s continued growth and commitment to organisations making a positive impact.
Having previously spent five and a half years at HaysMac, most recently as a Senior Manager, Andrew led the audits of large international charities, fundraising charities as well as independent schools, building a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services tailored to organisations with a clear social mission.
In his new role as Director, Andrew will work alongside Steve Harper, Head of Social Purpose, to further strengthen HaysMac’s support for charities, not-for-profits, and education providers, as the firm continues to invest in the growth of its Social Purpose practice.
Commenting on his return, Andrew said: “I’m delighted to be returning to HaysMac at such an exciting time for the firm, with it having turned 25 last month. HaysMac has a genuine commitment to the Social Purpose sector and a culture that truly aligns with my own values. The firm’s focus on long-term relationships, technical excellence, and making a positive impact is what drew me back, and I’m really looking forward to working again with such a talented and collaborative team.”
Steve added: “Andrew’s return is fantastic news for both our team and our clients. He brings extensive sector knowledge, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing charities and other social purpose organisations today. Andrew is already well-known and highly respected within the firm, and his appointment as Director underlines our continued commitment to developing our talent and supporting organisations that exist for good.”
Andrew’s appointment further reflects HaysMac’s purpose-led approach – For Business. For People. For Good. – and its ongoing investment in people, expertise, and sectors that make a meaningful difference to society.
This announcement follows an exceptional 12 months for HaysMac. Most recently, the firm was named ‘DEI Champion of the Year’ at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards, recognised for the second consecutive year as one of The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2025 – Big Organisation’, and highly commended in the ‘Best Places to Work for Women’ category. These achievements build upon HaysMac’s inclusion in eprivateclient’s ‘Top Accountancy Firms’ for 2025, the annual ranking of leading UK tax advisory firms serving domestic and international private clients, their businesses, and their families. In January 2026, HaysMac celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of delivering exceptional service, fostering talent, and making a positive impact in the Social Purpose and wider business community.
