HaysMac Strengthens Private Client Tax Team with Partner Hire Phil Clayton

HaysMac is delighted to announce that Phil Clayton will join the firm as Partner in its Private Client Tax team, effective 16 March 2026. His appointment reflects HaysMac’s continued strategic investment in senior lateral talent and the expansion of its tax advisory capabilities.

Phil specialises in advising entrepreneurs, business owners, management teams, and high-profile individuals at every stage of the business lifecycle, from initial structuring and growth to disposals, takeovers, and succession planning. He also provides commercially focused, tax efficient guidance for sports professionals and entertainers on global endorsements, sponsorships, and personal planning.

At HaysMac, Phil will focus on delivering proactive, tailored tax advice for complex transactions, supporting clients’ growth and exit strategies, enhancing estate and personal tax planning solutions, and mentoring the next generation of tax advisory talent. His role will play a central part in strengthening the firm’s specialist services and deepening value for clients.
