Outsourcing Senior Associate

    The key aspect of the role will be to work closely with Senior Management running a busy portfolio working with a range of clients mainly within our corporate sector but also including some not for profit sector clients.

    The Role

    Responsibilities below are generalised and are no way exhaustive:

    • Processing and posting the invoices on Xero / MS Dynamics / NetSuite;
    • Monthly / quarterly reconciliations of control accounts and preparation of the working papers to support the numbers in the management accounts;
    • Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts and VAT returns using a suite of software services, ready for the managers review;
    • Preparation of the payment runs for senior’s / manager’s review;
    • Review junior’s work and provide guidance and on the job training;
    • Liaison with the client to request information / resolve queries;
    • Ensure that allocated work is done within the time budget set;
    • Monitor own Dayshape (resource planning tool) bookings and discuss any additional booking requirements with senior / manager / mentor;

    Person Specification

    • The successful candidate will be able to multitask in terms of handling more than one client simultaneously;
    • Excellent communication skills and be confident, articulate and able to communicate at all levels externally and internally;
    • A team player with the ability to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines;
    • Strong organisational skills;
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence changes in working practices within the department;
    • Adaptable to change.

     

    Work-Based Competencies

    • ACCA Part Qualified (or equivalent)
    • You will have strong business focus and awareness of current affairs;
    • An interest in and a proven aptitude for using technology;
    • Strong communication skills – verbal and written;
    • Strong interpersonal skills;
    • An ability to analyse and interpret data;
    • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
    • An ability to work as part of a team;
    • An ability to delegate work to juniors and to supervise that work;
    • An ability to self-review your work, prior to submitting it for manager or partner review;
    • An ability to work to and meet deadlines;
    • A proven track record of taking ownership and responsibility for the delivery of services to clients assigned to you;
    • An awareness of developments concerning client affairs and the ability to identify opportunities to provide additional services;
    • Good knowledge of VAT;
    • Strong UK GAAP knowledge;
    • An awareness of laws and regulations that apply to the accounting function required to ensure compliance;
    • Proficient in using the Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook;
    • Proficient in using Xero (including current apps and an interest in learning more about other apps), Twinfield and NetSuite.
