What do we mean by purpose? A company’s purpose is not its vision, mission or values. A vision statement lays out what the organisation aspires to be; the mission defines the business goals; the values describe the desired culture; and the principles give employees a set of directions. Purpose, on the other hand, emphasises how the organisation should view and conduct itself and therefore shapes how it is seen by all stakeholders, internal and external – an important concept.
A strong purpose will inspire staff and express the organisation’s impact on the lives of customers and clients…and this is where our first event of the series comes in.
We will be announcing details of our first virtual event, including who will be our esteemed panel, very shortly – look out for more information on our LinkedIn and Twitter channels, and please do join the conversation online using #BusinessPurpose2030.
