    The role and responsibilities

    Working as part of the newly formed Bids Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of bids submissions which clearly demonstrate the features and benefits of HaysMac’s best in class teams and our sector experience.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, professional and highly regarded team in a role that offers exposure to a wide range of clients spanning nine sectors.

     

    Bid Management 

    • End to end management of bid process

    • Undertake fact finding calls with prospective clients

    • Draft customised bid documents to answer Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a dynamic and responsive manner

    • Create final bids submissions using InDesign and Microsoft templates

    • Working with partners to drive best practice throughout the process

    • Obtain feedback from the prospective client once the process has concluded

    • Create and develop new content: evaluate recent bids, make recommendations on how to improve submissions and keep up to date with bid best practice

    • Analyse tender outcomes and produce quarterly statistics

    • Contribute to the development of the proposal team capability

    • Create template documents and self serve material for the wider business

    The Candidate

    Work-Based Competencies

    Essential

    • 2-3 years of previous bid experience

    • Experienced in leading senior teams to deliver to tight deadlines

    • Strong proofreading/editing skills

    • Proven writing skills – in tenders/web content/advertising/direct mail

    • Strong verbal communication skills

    • Strong prioritisation/time management skills

    • Microsoft Office suite – particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Desirable

    • Experienced in professional services or partnership environment

    • Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign

    • Relational databases and/or CRM systems

    Behavioral competencies

    • A self-starter and highly organised

    • Ability to effectively time-manage multiple competing deadlines and stakeholders

    • Confidence: professional, articulate and able to communicate with all levels externally and internally

    • Resilient, persistent, persuasive and assertive

    • Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues at all levels whilst working remotely

    You will also be

    • A reliable team player liaising with all departments within the firm

    • Good at building effective relationships with colleagues and partners, especially remotely

    • Flexible on working hours in order to deliver bid submissions

    • Proactive

    • Keen to pursue a career in bids

    Academic Requirements

    • We are looking for candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or field
